The hospital, built on land made available by the local government, is operational since April 2021 and will receive patients from Uganda and other African countries.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hospital is part of the African Network of Medical Excellence, launched by Emergency in 2009, and is equipped with three operating rooms, 78 inpatient beds and a training centre for young doctors and nurses.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The construction of the hospital took into account not only health and local needs, but also aesthetic harmony and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.designboom.com\/architecture\/renzo-piano-emergency-childrens-hospital-uganda-africa-rammed-earth-walls-04-29-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><button class=\"elementor-button\">READ MORE<\/button><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TAMassociati, Renzo Piano and Emergency have designed a new centre of excellence in paediatric surgery in Entebbe, Uganda, about 35 km from the capital Kampala.
